(2) The courses with asterisks are accepted by the Canadian Council of Human Resources Associations towards the designation as a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP). The HRM Advisor will continue to monitor the CHRP requirements and keep students informed of changes via the HRM website.

(3) There are no restrictions regarding the double counting of required courses between the HRM Specialization and your other academic plans (e.g., major, minor, option).

Note, however, that "triple counting" is not allowed under any circumstances. This means that a single course cannot be used to satisfy a course requirement in more than 2 academic plans (e.g., Psych 338 can't be used for the Psych Major, HRM Minor, and an academic plan in Speech Communication).

(4) Students in Academic Plans in Management Studies are precluded from taking HRM plans.

(5) At least three of the six term courses for the Specialization must be UW courses and must be included in the UW average calculations.

(6) No exceptions to the above requirements will be made, unless documentation showing the approval of the current or former director is documented in the HRM Office.

(7) Psych 439 (Negotiation in the Workplace) will also be accepted as an elective for the HRM Specialization.
