Availability Warnings Regarding On-Campus Psych Courses:

  • the next offerings of the following courses is currently unknown:
    Psych 235, 304, 332, 361
  • Psych 457 (Honours Seminar in Personality and Clinical Psych) is offered Winter 2012 but will not be offered Spring 2012 through Spring 2013, and possibly not Fall 2013.
  • Psych 492 (Psychological Measurement) is typically offered once every two years e.g., offered Winter 2011 and Winter 2013.

Availability Warnings Regarding Online Psych Courses:

  • the last/final offering of Psych 211 online (Developmental Psych) is Spring 2012.
  • the online section of Psych 312 (Learning Disabilities) is usually offered in the Winter term only. For 2012 only, the online section of Psych 312 will be offered Spring term only.
  • Psych 354 online (Interpersonal Relations) is no longer offered. This course will be replaced by Psych 354R online (Interpersonal Relations).The first offering of Psych 354R online will be Fall 2012. Note that Psych 354 is also offered on-campus typically one or twice per year.
  • the last/final online offering of Psych 356 (Personality Theory) is Winter 2012. It is unlikely that Psych 356 will be offered on-campus in the near future.
    • Sidebar: Renison offers Psych 322R (Personality Theory) which is cross-listed with Psych 356. Note however, that most spots in Psych 322R are reserved for those in the Social Development Studies Major.

Students who are on conditional standing are not eligible to take courses elsewhere towards their uWaterloo records.

When you submit a request to take a course(s) at another university, please include a detailed description of the course content. A course outline including topic covered, method of evaluation, and title/author of the textbooks/readings might be necessary depending on the course and the degree requirement you are hoping to fulfill.

Note warnings on the above websites regarding grades that are not included in the uWaterloo average calculations as well as the number of uWaterloo courses that must be completed on a numerical grading basis. For example, final grades for Psychology courses taken on Letter of Permission, Cross-Registration, or exchange will not be included in the uWaterloo average calculations.
